CE-LVD certification is the safety certification of electrical equipment in the European Union, which is the basis of the safety standard of electrical equipment in the European Union. Through the CE-LVD certification, you can obtain the EU electrical equipment safety CE mark. CE-LVD certification is the minimum requirement of the European Union for the safety of electrical equipment. During the production of electrical equipment, the CE-LVD certification must be passed.
2014/35/EU Low Voltage Equipment Directive Low Voltage Directive (LVD)
The Low Voltage Directive for CE-LVD Certification (2014/35/EU) has been officially published. From April 2016, the new directive will become a mandatory requirement for electrical products to comply with. The Low voltage Electrical Equipment Directive applies to electrical products whose operating (input) voltages are between 50V AC and 1000V, or between 75V and 1500V DC. The directive sets out basic electrical safety requirements. The directive covers the protection against electric shock, high temperature resistance, flame retardancy, temperature rise limits, the service life of safety components, and so on, set out in some 600 harmonized standards.
