The Radio type certification is issued by the State Radio Regulation Committee, or SRRC.

According to the Radio Regulation of the People's Republic of China, all other radio transmitting equipment produced or imported for sale and use in China (except micro-power short-range radio transmitting equipment) shall be applied to the State Radio Regulation Committee (SRRC) for type approval.

Radio transmission equipment produced or imported for sale or use in China shall not only conform to laws and regulations on product quality and other laws and regulations, national standards and relevant provisions of the State radio administration, but also meet the technical indicators verified by the type approval certificate of radio transmission equipment, and shall be marked with a type approval code (CMIIT ID).

Where a product sells radio transmitting equipment which should be obtained but whose type approval has not been obtained, the radio regulatory agency shall order it to make corrections, confiscate the illegally sold radio transmitting equipment and the illegal income, and may concurrently impose a fine of less than 10% of the value of the illegally sold equipment; Those who refuse to make corrections shall be concurrently fined not less than 10% but not more than 30% of the value of the equipment illegally sold.
